Records Rolled In Best Ever Mucky Duck race on May 21st.

Despite muddy conditions and a headwind on sections of the route, a new course record was posted for the second successive year.

Pumlani Bangani (Salford Harriers) zapped the 8.5 mile circuit in 46 mins. 6 secs. - exactly one minute quicker then the previous quickest.

One other man broke the 50 minute mark; the promising Jonathan Carter (48:29) of Kingston-upon-Hull AC.

Living up to his promise was Driffield Striders Roger Carr, whose fifth place in 51:24 was his best ever result. "I went after Bangani early on, but I couldn't hang on to him; he was too fast," he said.

The reigning women's record holder, Karen Bexon (Goole Viking Striders) was first women home.  Her time, 57:06, was down on her previous best.

First woman back for Driffield was Zoe Porter (62:06) in her fastest ever time for the course.  It earned her the 40+ veterans trophy.

The Ladies team prize and the Mens team prize both went to Goole Viking Striders.

Fun Run

The Boys Fun Run was won by Howard Thompson, a junior Driffield Strider, and the Girls Fun run was won by Georgina Byas.
